| Unity Fellowship Church of Rochester A Refuge of Love, Liberation and Healing |
Many are aware that it has been a rough few months for our church.
Loosing both the Founding Pastor and Assistant Pastor with in a few
months of each other may have meant the demise of most churches - but
we have been determined to hang on until it becomes clear that
Rochester, NY has no need of the Unity Fellowship Church Movement
(UFCM).
Over the next three weeks we will be doing a lot of strategic planning
with the help of Senior Bishop Zachary Jones. On Sunday, March 21 we
will host a community forum with Bishop Jones giving the Rochester
community an opportunity to learn more about the national Unity
Fellowship Church Movement and our hopes to remain in Rochester. It is
our hope that the community will also see this as an opportunity to let
the Bishop and local church leaders know what you need from UFCM in
Rochester.
It is our sincere hope that this forum will launch the re-birth of the
church by helping us to re-establish goals, provide new ideas for
outreach, and show the national movement that there are people in
Rochester who wish to be ministered to through the liberation theology
that a new UFC Reverend can bring.
Our re-birth has meant starting anew in so many ways. We are seeking a
new minister, we have moved to a new location, we are seeking new
parishioners, and we felt that a new name would also help us with our
re-birth. This month we are adopting the naming policy of the
Movement and will be known moving forward as Unity Fellowship
Church of Rochester.
We need your support now more than ever before as we re-birth our
church home. Please look for more information on the Bishop's time in
Rochester and share, share, share with friends and family - anyone who
you think would want to know about a church that is open and
welcoming and teaches Christ's commandment to love God and love thy
neighbor as thyself!
